The move is part of its expansion and consolidation plan in Latin America.
In an event at the Dan Carlton Bogotá Hotel, the company that develops technological solutions for telecommunications announced that the hub of their operations will be housed at the World Trade Center of Bogotá. Argentine Ambassador, Martín Balza, representatives of Movistar, ETB, UNE, Telefónica-Telecom, and partners Dialogic, Commlogic and Itochu attended the event.
Colombian Joaquín Villamizar Gómez, an Electronic Engineer who graduated from the Javeriana University and has vast experience in multinational companies from the telecommunications industry, was introduced as ATS Head of Operations in the country.
“The investment planned for the first year of operations in the country is of USD 1M and of approximately USD 2,5M through 2012,” said Jorge Brunfman, ATS Executive Director.
During his speech, Brunfman stated that “the opening of these new offices is the result of the hard work carried out inColombia during the past three years. At a time when companies are being downsized, ATS is committed to further its expansion, in the understanding that being close to our clients is the sure path to continued growth.”
